Preparation Time: 5 minutes + 15 minutes to marinade

Cut: Bone-in chicken
2lbs (450 g) (8) chicken drumsticks
3 Tbsp (45 ml) Hoisin sauce
2 Tbsp (30 ml) soy sauce
1 tsp (5 ml) sesame oil
1 Tbsp (15 ml) ginger, finely chopped
1 tsp (5 ml) garlic powder
½ tsp (2.5 ml) dried red pepper chili flakes
1 Tbsp (15 ml) sesame seeds
Note: this recipe can also be prepared on the BBQ.
Preheat oven to 400F.
In a large bowl, whisk together hoisin sauce, soy sauce, sesame oil, chopped ginger, garlic powder and dried pepper flakes. Add the chicken and toss to coat evenly. Set aside to marinate in the fridge for 15 minutes.
Place chicken on a baking sheet lined with foil.
Bake for 45 minutes, turning halfway, until cooked through.
For crispier chicken, broil for 2-3 minutes at the end, taking care not to burn.
Top with sesame seeds and serve with stir fried vegetables.
