MAPLE WHISKY MARINADE

Ingredients

1/4 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup whisky
1/2 cup maple syrup
2 cloves garlic, crushed
1/2 small onion, minced
1 tbsp dried basil
1/2 tsp ground black pepper
1/4 tsp hot pepper sauce

Preparation

Combine all ingredients in a re-sealable plastic bag.  Add chicken, close bag and gently turn bag so marinade coats each piece of chicken.  Refrigerate for up to 24 hours or freeze for up to 6 months.

Makes enough marinade for 1.5 kgs chicken pieces.
