If you’re feeding hungry football fans this Sunday and don’t want to miss any of the game, these make ahead chicken recipes will keep you out of the kitchen.
Spicy Buffalo Chicken Blue Cheese Wonton Bites (pictured above)
Layer a little coleslaw, some shredded chicken tossed with hot sauce, and a bit of Blue cheese in crispy wonton cups to make these two-bite snacks. Assemble them ahead of time then pop them in the oven to melt the cheese. If you want less heat, toss the chicken in barbecue sauce instead of hot sauce, and if you’re not a Blue cheese fan, try Feta, goat cheese or Cheddar.
These chicken meatballs have all the flavour of Buffalo wings, but you won’t need wet wipes or a place to stash the wing bones. Both the meatballs and sauce are best made the day before to allow the flavours to really blend. Reheat in the microwave or use your slow cooker.
